my mp3/mp4 player is not working

my mp3/mp4 player is not working......:( radio is playing but music file aint playing....computer is unable to detect the mp3/mp4 player?? i stay in india....so help my as soon as possible....

Hi - if the computer is unable to detect the player, firstly, press the play button down for 2 seconds while the player is plugged in to the computer.

If that does not help, there are four possible problems @

1. An invalid or corrupt file has bveen loaded on to the player and had corrupted the firmware. Solution : reformat and start again making sure only to use working , valid file types at the correct bit rate (no more than 192 kbps).

2. The cable is faulty. Solution : replace cable.

3. The playetr has a faulty dock connector. Solution : take it back to your vendor if under warranty.

4. If you are using a laptop, some don't have properly configured USB ports and fail to communicate with the device. Solution : try a desktop computer

It's really very simple.

Go to your directory of physical drives. In WinXP, it is known as "My Computer"..
All you do is right click with your mouse over the drive letter that the player inhabits and select "FORMAT"

This sounds like the player or the connection is faulty - it could have been dropped in the post and needs re-flashing.
