Help Please!

My daughter has a "nano style" mp4 player it was working fine. Now when we switch it on we get the message generating playlists please wait Its been on for hours now. I've tried connecting it to the computer but it won't recognise that the player is even connected. Any ideas of how to fix the problem?

This is usually a sign of a corrupt or invalid file type that has been loaded on to the player.

try formatting the player by righ clicking its icon on your computer screen and selecting "format" - this should scrub all files and give you a fresh approach
