i've just had my mp4 delivered today but how long does it take to charge it just seems to keep going its been about 2 hours now

I have bought an 8gb mp4 player, it wont hold charge. The on/off button does not seem to work, I presume that is the button at the top of the player.

Depends on the model but most of them that are referred to this forum are the nano / cross style player and you need to switch the top switch and then hold down the play button for a second or two.
