search and forward

I can't work out how to search on the MP3/MP4. I like to listen to radio programmes that I have downloaded while I'm doing jobs around the house and garden. However this means that I often finish listening half way through a programme. How can I find that spot in the file again?
There must be some way of searching otherwise audio books wouldn't work.
