Personally I agree with some sort of system of registration / insurance but not so much the road tax element

I agree cyclists need to pay to use the road just like everyone else. Maybe a yearly bike registration? There is alot of hostility in Australia between cars and cyclists due to the fact cyclists feel they are entititled to use the road just like a car. Car drivers some what disagree. If cyclists pay to register their bikes to rise on the road, I dont think there would be as much hostility.
In saying this. Roads over here aint really catered for bikes and cars to get along. Maybe better government planning?
