I tried to attach my new player to my pc but windows does not reconise it and tells me that there is a problem. there does not appear to be any drivers loaded if this helps? thanks
Hi Jim,
There could be several possible causes for this :
1. The most common is that the computer is a laptop and it just isnt able to put enough juice through the USB connection. For some reason certain laptops (not many) simply are unable to recognise particular USB devices.
2. Second most common is that your PC isn't loading the necessary plug and play drivers. Try rebooting the PC with the player connected and switched off. If that doesn't work try rebooting with the player switched on.
3. The least common, although the most difficult to fix, is that there is a faulty cable or player. have you any other devices that use a 30 pin cable? if so, try that and isolate the fault.

Only thing you can do is return it my friend - no-one's fault - just a (quite rare) compatability issue that cannot be overcome without changing the computer
