hello
I've just plugged in my daughters new mp3/4 player and my laptop runnng vista says it does not have the drivers for this device and it cant find them on the web. Where can i download the drivers from?
This is most unusual indeed - is your windows installation up to date?
Try doing it on a desktop rather than a laptop.
Which MP4 player do you have?

pretty sure that the windows installation is up to date as it automatically updates itself.
the mp3/4 player is the 'nano'style 4gb.
we have managed to put some music on it using another laptop but ideally i'd like to download a driver so that i can use it on my laptop

that particular player is plug and play meaning that it has no driver - your OS should already have it installed.
If it is working on one laptop but not another, then the best thing to do is to speak to someone who knows about computers. I have a feeling removing the USB driver on the computer and replacing it with a new version will be the only answer but I am afraid that i don't know how you should do that, other than with great care
